What are community cats?
Community cats live outdoors where people live. Community cats can also be called feral or outdoor cats that are generally not socialized or friendly to people. They live full and healthy lives with their feline families, called colonies, in their outdoor homes.
Research supports that community cats are no public health threat. Since they typically aren’t friendly to people and avoid contact, the chance for them to transmit diseases is minimal. Learn more about community cats here.
